I recently got called to a job where a casual client could not access their business documents on the local machine. “I’ve been having problems opening files ever since I opened a zipped attachment in an email” was the way it was described.

And then the message appeared “Your files have been encrypted…..Pay 500 euro to get your data back”.

This is Malicious Spam otherwise known as Ransomware and it can kill your data.
